Fine and Performing Arts Fast Facts

• 2 productions per year produced by the dramatics society
• 130 students are involved in a typical spring show, including actors, carpenters and stage, house and effects managers.
• 6 musical groups exist on campus (Choir, Jazz Ensemble, Pep Band, Concert Band, Marching Band, and Beginning Band)
• 11 musical performances were held on and off campus this school year
• 1 Division I rating for the band at MSBOA festival.
• 4 students received Division I ratings at the State Solo and Ensemble Festival
• 1 Division I rating for the Cub Chorus at Districts and a Division 2 rating at State
• 1 band performance at Disney World in Orlando in 2008
• 5 Scholastic Art Awards earned by members of the class of 2008
• 9 seniors submitted AP art portfolios
• 3 students earned Gold Key Awards at Scholastic Art Contest
• 2 students earned Avanti Stellar Scholar Sterling Awards for automotive design.
• 3 Fine Arts Festivals are held each year
• 48 students published artwork, poetry, and short stories in Inscape, U of D Jesuit's
  student literary magazine.
