What does it take, and how do I get accepted to U of D Jesuit?
U of D Jesuit looks for intelligent, hard working students who have achieved satisfactory ratings in his subjects. A healthy curiosity and a desire to learn are essential for success at U of D Jesuit.
Does U of D Jesuit have a dress code?
U of D Jesuit does have a dress code. Students are to be groomed neatly and wear dress pants (no denim pants), button down dress shirt with a collar, tie, belt, and dress shoes.
Will I have homework?
Homework is assigned in each class on most nights. A typical school night usually requires one to three hours of preparation for the next day. Students need to be willing to study. One of U of D Jesuit's strongest features is how well it prepares a student for college. Students learn how to be organized and to budget their time.
U of D Jesuit is an all-boys school, how will I meet girls?
Ask any U of D Jesuit student and they will tell you that this is not a problem. There are eight dances each year where any high school age girl can attend with a current student. Athletic events, extracurricular activities, and other events are great ways to meet girls.
How long is the school day?
First period begins at 8:00 a.m. and the final bell is at 2:45. Students can arrive on campus as early as 7:00 a.m. and stay until 5:00 p.m.
Is there bus transportation available?
Yes, there is busing available. U of D Jesuit operates three bus routes. There is also a carpool tool available on our website to put you in contact with other parents in your area if you would like to share rides. For more information on busing click here.
