Mac Olson '09 was named Player of the Week by the Michigan High School Hockey Coaches Association for his performance last weekend. Mac had six goals and an assist in the Cubs past three games to help improve the Cub Hockey record to 6-2-1.
The Cub JV Hockey team defeated Toledo St. Johns in Toledo on December 20th with a final score of 4-1.
The Varsity Hockey team defeated Portage Central on December 20th at OLSM with a final score of 2-0. Mac Olson had both goals and David Rieckhoff earned the shutout stopping all 12 shots he faced.
University of Detroit Jesuit High School and Academy is now hiring Football Coaches at all levels for the Fall of 2009 Football Season.

Senior captain Vince Brennan earned All-State honors as our #1 singles player in tennis for the fall 2008 season. It is the first All-State honor earned by a U of D Jesuit tennis player in nearly four decades. Vince accomplished this achievement while maintaining a 3.84 cumulative GPA. The award is the culmination of an incredibly successful scholar- athlete career.
The Cub Varsity Hockey Team defeated previously unbeaten Novi Catholic Central by the score of 4-3 last night down at City Sport Center. The Cubs were led by Patrick Riedy with one goal, Mac Olson with 2 assists, Michael Costello with 1 goal and 2 assists and Captain Mike Yanis with 2 goals and 2 assists including the game winning goal. Justin Evans was superb in the net stopping 28 of the 31 shots he faced.
Congratulations to the 7th Grade Basketball Team on a victory over St. Joan of Arc by the score of 38-10, evidence of a strong defensive effort by the team. Next game is against Star of the Sea in second round play of the St. Clare of Montefalco Thanksgiving tournament is Wednesday night at 9pm. Congrats guys, let's keep it up.

The Cub Varsity and JV hockey teams traveled to Cleveland over the weekend for two games each. The Varsity Icers defeated A.D. Barrett's alma mater, defending Ohio State Champion St. Ed's 4 -1 and also defeated Principal Marando's alma mater, St. Ignatius by the same score of 4 -1. The JV Icers lost to St. Ignatius 3 -0 and also lost to University School 3 -1. A heart felt thanks to Mr. Barrett for making the trip to Ohio to watch the game.
